Please attend the Welcome Reception on Friday evening
All registrants are welcome, even if you’re attending the Saturday only sessions. Let’s have a welcome reception that’s lively and bustling with attendees!
On Saturday, everyone is invited to join our cookout
This includes significant others or spouses—kids welcome, too.
Full meeting admission includes your cookout attendance, but you’ll need to buy tickets for those 18 and over who are coming with you to the cookout. Please buy additional cookout tickets when you register for the meeting.
Friday-only SCVS, Saturday-only BSC, Residents’ and Speakers’ registrations do not include admission to the cookout. Those who wish to attend will need to buy their tickets, along with any guest tickets, when they register for the meeting.
Children under 18 can attend the cookout at no charge.
Business Luncheon Meetings
The SC ACS and the NC ACS Business Luncheon Meetings will be held on Saturday.
Vascular and bariatric surgeons take note!
On Friday, the vascular surgeons’ luncheon will be held—for vascular surgeons only. The bariatric surgeons’ luncheon, for bariatric surgeons only, will be held Saturday.
Myrtle Beach: Attractions and Recreation
Famous for 60 miles of beautiful beaches, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina has a lot more to visit if you wish to plan some touring around the conference.
Hobcaw Barony is home to an environmental research station and a 16,000-acre wildlife refuge. Or visit the South Carolina Hall of Fame, dedicated to past and contemporary innovators who have made outstanding contributions to South Carolina’s heritage and progress.
In the evening, hang out on the stone patio of the Liberty Tap Room or find out “what’s happening” at The Brass Tap. Enjoy fine dining at the Sea Blue Restaurant and Wine Bar or 21 Main at North beach Restaurant in North Myrtle Beach. You may also want to take a short drive up to Little River for dinner at Parson’s Table.
These are just a small sampling of the city’s many attractions. Experience more of this great city, and contribute to the Carolinas’ premier educational event in surgery, at our Annual Meeting in 2018.
