Thanks to the generosity of the members of the South Carolina Chapter of the American College of Surgeons, we are pleased to offer a $1,500.00 scholarship for a Resident currently enrolled in a South Carolina surgery training program to attend the 2026 ACS Leadership / Advocacy Summit (LAS).
Applicants must submit a short statement (less than 250 words) on why a trip to attend the ACS Leadership / Advocacy Summit will improve his/her practice of surgery and stimulate participation in the South Carolina Chapter, along with a CV, by December 3, 2025, using the submission button below.
The funds must be used to support the registration fee, airline fare, meals, and hotel costs for the applicant. There will be a requirement for the winning applicant to attend the 2026 South Carolina/North Carolina Joint Chapter meeting at The Wild Dunes Resort, August 14-16, 2026, and give a report on the benefits of this award to the recipient.
The deadline for the application is December 3, 2025.
